Diploma in Auxilliary Nursing Midwife (ANM)
ANM or Auxilliary Nursing Midwife is a two years Diploma course in Nursing. ANM diploma is the most basic diploma course which can be opted as a starting step towards making a career in the Nursing field. Graduates of ANM diploma can start their career by working with community health centres in urban or rural areas. The purpose of this course is to prepare an ANM to function at the community level/ village with specific skills to fulfil the health needs of the community. An ANM is the active link between the community and the health care system.
Eligibility
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
Student shall be medically fit.
